CYP Raleigh Capital Campaign:
It’s Grow Time
This is shul, reimagined. This is your Jewish home downtown.
Landing Page + About Us
Meet the new center for Raleigh’s young Jews.
Every community needs an anchor point. A place where folks can gather, relax, build and grow. And for Raleigh’s crowd of young Jewish professionals, The Shul Downtown does just that.
Located in the absolute heart of downtown, the shul provides a space for community to thrive. Because shul is community; it’s the laughter, the business deals, the heart-to-heart conversations, the recipe swaps and the budding friendships. It’s where we nurture our spirituality and embrace the holiness within the mundane. It’s where we go to find a connection with something higher.
The Shul Downtown is the only established Jewish presence downtown, serving as a welcoming home for Raleigh’s Jews. Here, everyone can find a sense of belonging and tap into their Jewish identity.
The Shul is where things happen, the center of it all.
Join our family of incredible Chabad Young Professionals as we build our own shul and our own community, one Shabbat dinner, one class, one celebration at a time.

CYP Raleigh invites you to attend
A Tu B’Av Rooftop Garden Party
Join us on location at the brand new Shul Downtown as we kickstart a weeklong fundraising campaign to get CYP’s new center ready to roll for the holidays.
What It Is
A balmy Tu B’Av summer party at Downtown Raleigh’s ultimate rooftop. Get your first look at the brand new Shul Downtown, if you haven’t already, and enjoy a refreshing cocktail or two while you’re at it.
Come Out For A Cause
The CYP community has already banded together to raise $1.3 million toward the shul’s purchase. Now, we’re launching the second phase of the building project–and your presence counts!
The Goal
To raise the remaining $1.2 million necessary to cement the new CYP center as a community anchor point.
1 Week for $1.2m
A weeklong campaign will spur a solid headstart as we work to secure finances and get the new building fully finished in time for the holidays.
Dress Code
Go with breezy summer whites if you’re feeling Tu B’Av in the air, or veer floral and over-the-top with your best Bridgerton-inspired wear if you’re feeling a little more… celebratory. After all, we’ve got LOTS to celebrate this season!
